Funding open to grow diverse workforces in Victorian agricultural regions

A Round 2 Expression of Interest is now open for organisations working to strengthen culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) participation in Victoria’s agricultural workforce.

The initiative, jointly funded by Agriculture Victoria and Gardiner Foundation, supports practical, place-based projects across the Goulburn Murray and Leongatha-Maffra (Gippsland) regions. Round 2 builds on earlier investment, with a focus on workplace safety, skills and training, and employment pathways for CALD workers.

CALD communities already make a significant contribution to regional agriculture. This funding is designed to back organisations already working on the ground, including those outside formal networks, to deliver initiatives shaped by local workforce needs and employer demand.

Priority areas include Gippsland South, Wellington, Moira, Campaspe and Greater Shepparton.

Expressions of Interest close 30 April 2026.
