CALL FOR FUTURE DAIRY COMMUNITY LEADERS

The Gardiner Dairy Foundation, in partnership with the Victorian Regional Community Leadership Program (VRCLP), is calling for aspiring dairy leaders to apply for its 2019 VRCLP scholarships.

Gardiner Dairy Foundation is offering up to 10 fully funded scholarships to eligible applicants in key dairying regions of Victoria, through the VRCLP. The regions covered include south-west Victoria (Leadership Great South Coast), Gippsland (Gippsland Community Leadership), north-west and central Victoria (Loddon Murray Community Leadership) and northern Victoria (Fairley Leadership).

Each scholarship recipient has a unique opportunity to strengthen their leadership capabilities to make a positive difference in their local community and in the wider dairy industry.

Gardiner Dairy Foundation CEO, Dr Clive Noble, said the Foundation was proud to partner with VRCLP in supporting the development of a new generation of dairy leaders.

“We have partnered with VRCLP for 14 years and supported over 60 scholars to develop their leadership skills, which in turn has benefited their regional communities and the wider dairy community.

“I’d strongly encourage individuals wanting to contribute to a strong Australian dairy industry to apply for these scholarships and take advantage of the great opportunities they offer,” said Dr Noble.

VRCLP CEO, Katrina Baddeley, thanked the Gardiner Dairy Foundation for its continued support.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Gardiner to offer ongoing leadership opportunities that are specifically designed to benefit dairy communities in regional Victoria,” said Ms Baddeley.

Lauren Peterson, who received the Gardiner-funded Leadership Great South Coast scholarship in 2018, encouraged others to apply and embrace the opportunities it offered.

“The scholarship has enabled me to build my leadership skills and has provided invaluable networking opportunities. I feel empowered to drive positive industry engagement in dairy communities,” said Lauren.
